Objectives of the Irish Anaphylaxis Campaign The objectives of the Irish Anaphylaxis Campaign are to: • Raise
awareness amongst those at risk and the public The Campaign acts as a self-help group to bring people together to share their experiences and suggestions on how to manage severe food allergies. In addition, the Campaign is working across a wide range of areas to raise awareness and obtain changes to improve the quality of life of those at risk, including: • Medical
practitioners and emergency services The Campaign is run entirely by a small team of volunteers in their spare time. Funding is on the basis of voluntary contributions and fund raising events. The primary service offered by the Campaign on a day-to-day basis is a telephone help-line. Given the small and voluntary part-time nature of the Campaign's resources, the level of the Campaign's ongoing activities is necessarily relatively limited and we ask people to appreciate this.
